This is a short story based off of one of the love stories involving Apollo, an ancient Greek god. I originally fell in love with Apollo during a mythology class , and I couldn't help but recreate one of his unfortunate love stories in a fantasy world. As I said, this is an attempted recreation of the original tale, so I suggest brushing up on some myths before diving in. The more you know, the more you'll recognize a few easter eggs. A special thank you to Randall Stewart for providing the information. Sorry folks, this is a tragedy. I apologize ahead of time for the emotions this story will evoke. (I sure know as a writer it was tough to create.) Enjoy!

She is a monster. An outcast. She is made to endure. But when a foreign goddess arrives swords clash and words are traded. The blue deity shakes the very core of Desdemona's foundation and calls into question her entire upbringing as well as her fate to die on her eighteenth birthday. For the first time in a long time, Desdemona has a choice. Will she play the role her past lives were forced to endure? Or will she shed her heart of purity to take back the life that was stolen from her?
