Abena and Ki, were childhood pen pals whose lives were irrevocably changed by a tragic accident, placing Abena, then known as Nani in a seven year coma, just months before college and the death of Ha-na -Abena's sister and Seong-ho-Ki's brother. With Abena and Ki reunited in adulthood under complicated circumstances.
They are both grappling with past traumas and a resurgence of feelings they thought were long buried. Ki, now a successful lawyer, finds himself inexplicably drawn to Abena, his new coworker, but is unable to recognize her as his former confidante.
Abena, on the other hand, struggles to reconcile her past emotions for Ki while navigating her newfound life in Seoul, including an uncertain engagement to a man who sees her more as a friend than a prospective wife. Overwhelmed by her precarious circumstances, she must wrestle with whether to reveal her true identity to Ki and possibly unravel the fragile peace they have constructed.
As secrets are unveiled and past misdeeds resurface, Abena and Ki must confront their shared past and decide whether their intertwined future is worth the potential heartbreak
