Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel are best friends. They have been for a long time, And most likely will be until the end of time. And, they're in love. Although, neither of them wishes to admit it- It's easy to tell.. especially with the way they look at eachother. They're Star struck, infatuated, teenagers. And every knows it, except for them.

Lucy rolls over in bed to stare at the boy beside her. He's quiet, If I didn't know any better, I'd say he's asleep. He's never this silent.
Her lip quivers.
"Natsu?" She asks softly.
He hums in response. As he peaks one of his eyes open, he whispers "yeah Luce?" There was concern in his voice. She bet he could smell the tears in her eyes.
"Natsu, I.." She began, although, she was too afraid to really explain how she felt after her recent kidnapping attempt. All she could feel was a sense of impending doom, worry, and despair. Her mind had been racing for hours. 'What would they have done to me?' she thought.
Natsu moved closer and hugged her, pressing her face to his chest as he pet her hair and rubbed her back simultaneously. Although, since they were lying together, they were really just cuddling. He'd never admit that though.
Natsu broke the momentary spell of silence. He began, "Luce... I don't know what to say. I know you were scared earlier. But that's why I'm here. I'll always save you Luce. Always."
He held her a little tighter. Almost, afraid to let go of her it seemed.
She pulled away a bit, looking up at him with tears in her eyes. "Always?"
"Always."
She stuck her hand out and he smiled brightly, wrapping his pinky around hers, sealing a pinky promise. Which Natsu swore he'd never break.
