Discovering mythological creatures you have only read about actually exist, is just one of those things. Being bitten by one and then also turning into one, can be a bit too much for some. Being bitten by the most dangerous and evil werewolf in existence and having almost the whole werewolf society after you to get your powers, well that can cause someone to go mad, literally.

I heard someone moving towards the cabinets turning my head I came face to face with Tom. There was an evil smirk on his face. He looked me over, his eyes resting on my breasts which were showing through my torn clothes.
"Didn't think I would forget you, did you?"
As I tried to move away his face contorted into that of a beast, his hairy and clawed hand came over my mouth as his sharp teeth sank into my neck. Looking at the look of satisfaction on his face I knew I was screwed, I hadn't just brushed off a sociopath, I had brushed off a sociopath who also happened to be able to change into a 7 feet monster, yep me being screwed was the understatement of the decade.

"Shit" I swore holding my nose, it seemed broken and the effect of our collision drew some blood.
