"Sadie," he said while peeking over at me.

"Yes?" I answered back and looked into his blue-green eyes.

"What's your deepest fear?" He mumbled shyly.

"Not having the permission to love," I admitted. After a minute of comfortable silence, I added: "It haunts me everyday, Jordan."

He looked over at me and tears welled up in my eyes again. Before he could see a single drop come out, he hugged me. I heard his heartbeat and my own beat at the same time and my emotions overcame me. The calm wind blew in my damp face as I wept the last of my tears into Jordan's bare forearm.
