What started out as an ordinary school day for the young high school senior, Ariel Delacruz, went south in utter moments. Ariel lived in a quiet town. And though she was the only Senior in her neighborhood, she still had many friends. She was the type of girl that would stay out of drama, yet assert herself in any argument if needed. She was the Golden Girl of her grade. But a fateful run in with her deadbeat stepfather caused her to roam away from home. When she returned however, her 'father' was dead on the floor, his head completely caved in. Nearly slipping in his pool of blood, she found that her mother was missing, bloody hand prints covered the wall like they were part of the wallpaper. Ariel was confused. Strangers pounded on her door, screaming and howling. They weren't natural. They weren't human. They weren't ALIVE. Ariel knew this. From her favorite novel "Dead Things Walking" and tons of comics, she knew what these were. But what she didn't know.... Was how to survive it. So, with the help of a newly found friend, Russell Josephs, Ariel must make the drastic decision to either stay and defend her home, or leave to find salvation. But then a fateful run in with a small duo of survivors drives her to make a final decision...
