Brooklyn Carter had a good life, living in the countryside of North America. Everything was normal, and then all in an instant, her life is taken from her. A spark, a flame, and her life was no longer worth living. Parts of her skin had melted off in the fire that destroyed her house, and killed her mother. But while she lies in the hospital, a trade is conducted. A man in black makes illegal arrangements, and suddenly Brooklyn is bought and paid for.
