Staring at the ceiling, I traced my finger slowly along her shoulder blades, making her reposition her head on my bare chest.
"Can I tell you something about yourself?" I ask with my eyes still stayed on the ceiling.

Like a bolt of lightning, this stupid boy appeared in my life. First day of summer break between first and second grade, he just appeared- standing on my porch like he was born there.
