Ash was stuck. Life was one big, monotonous cycle, the same thing over and over again. Get up, avoid parents, eat, do some more avoiding, write, eat, write, and then lay awake for hours. He was so completely done with the world, and school starting up again wasn't helping. His best friend lived in a different country, and the other kids weren't exactly nice. Ash just wanted to get far, far away.
