Alex Brennan is the quiet, shy girl in her school. She's picked on, harassed. She hates every moment of it. She hates it more when it's the guy she likes is all part of it. She puts all of her feelings, and tears into her music she makes with her guitar. Whenever she plays at school, she hides herself in the music room. One day, she was playing, when a big time music producer walks in on her. He declares her his 'Next Big Star'. But, what happens when she returns from her life in fame and music? She totally different. She's tall, skinny, and slim, with a tan. The only thing that isn't different about her is her red hair. Then, there's James Smith. He's liked Alex since middle school. He picks on her just so his friends doesn't kick his butt to the curb. He's surprised when she moves for a year, and returns as the hottest chick in school. But, he soon realizes that she's not the same shy girl, she once was. Now, she's fearless. She'll smart off to anyone. She still likes him big time. But, there's only one thing standing in between them. Is Alex ready for a second chance at her high school, or will she fail like she did last year?
