Tightrope
Becca and Will were once best friends. From immediately clicking at the school bus stop at five-years-old, to bonding over their love for hockey and future ambitions, it was always Becca and Will. Will and Becca. Even as they navigated the toughest parts of their lives, they could always count on each other. Becca had met Will when she had needed him the most, and Becca stood by Will through the times he could barely keep it together with everything going on at home. Nevertheless, as inseparable as they were, Becca one day simply disappeared. She left without explaining or even saying goodbye, and Will never heard from her again. That is, until eleven years later, she showed up at his team's arena, where he was the star player for the Chicago Whispers, claiming she was the new team publicist. Eleven years of silence made Will want nothing to do with her, but still, she pushed and held onto their lingering love for each other, determined to explain everything and get back in his life, even if it means walking the tightrope that hangs between their past life and the present. 18+ only #1 in Marriage of Convenience [July 2024] "The fewer people that know the truth the better. And if this all goes smoothly, you two will be able to get divorced before the hockey season ends." "I have the places where you both will sign," His eyes lifted and scanned both of us. "But only of course, if you both agree to this." "I'll do it," I said honestly. Minnow sighed outwardly and bit her bottom lip. "If you need more time-" "No," she swallowed, staring at the thick packet in front of us. "I feel like this goes without saying but...no sex. Of any kind. It only complicates things." My cheeks flushed with heat, probably turning pink and Minnow choked. "We won't..." I shook my head, clenching my jaw. Shivers crossed my back. "You don't have to worry about that," Minnow said obviously. "Trust me." ***************************************** Minnow Noel is known for two things: being a hot head and an amazing figure skater. Running from a dark relationship and a past version of herself, she ends up where her skating career all started. Norwegian native Søren Skejeggstad's only focus in life is hockey. Perfect World
A story of star-crossed lovers couldn’t be more cryptic. When two gods Monaxia and Ari’el are captured by mad scientists bent on discovering the Secrets of the Universe, the lovers have no choice but to immerse themselves in an alternate reality where they’re oblivious mortals in an unusual world. But what happens when their god friends from reality come to save them? Will they be able to wake up, and what type of horrors could be waiting for them when they do? Meanwhile, in this alternate universe, two brothers Pete and Allen battle to make sense of what the hell is going on with all these gods wandering around while another guy named Eidan is fighting for the right to stay alive. Viva la revolucion! No, scratch that. All he wants is to love and be loved, and if he’s able to prove that he’s not as dangerous as everybody thinks, maybe Farrah might actually give him a chance. WARNING: complex sciences and ideas are represented here. This work is not a light read, and while escapist readers might enjoy the plot, skimming lines and paragraphs isn't recommended. If you find yourself confused, go back and read the parts you skipped. I guarantee it's explained there :) Original Copyright © April 2013. Continued Copyright © November 2013Complete
