A simple life is what Arliss Rooney lives in the city of Kune. He believes he's nothing special and he wishes it to stay that way, even though he is one of a thousands who has markings upon his right wrist, which identifies him as those with abilities. He's never thought much about his life since he left the Guard Force, but all of that changes with a mysterious man, who is wanted for accused crimes in various countries, stumbles into town. Arliss soon finds himself drawn to this peculiar man and it's not long before a virus strikes those who are Gifted, resulting in various attacks and slaughters around the world. This strange man, named Arthur Pringrey may hold the key to the answer that could assist in bringing peace between those Gifted and those who are not. Accompanied by his Gifted best friend, Brawn Jorgeson, Arthur, and his wolf companion, Arliss must uncover the cause of the infections before he too, is a part of the grizzly fate that threatens the Gifted and the human race.
