Every year The Central takes 2 kids aged 13-17 from each region, once you are of age you have to enter the raffle that selects the person.
No one knows what happens to them.
All we know is that once they are taken no one comes back.
The Central claims that they are safe and living a life happily and away from poverty but that's not what Maya thinks.
Maya is from Jejune, she is only 15 and she knows that The Central is hiding something...

In a world divided into four groups, there is a role for everyone. Every group has their own realm found in each corner of the country they share. The top right corner has the largest population. Finally, in the bottom right corner lives the peaceful and happy people of the Primitive Harmony Realm (P.H.R.) The people here lead a simple life and believe in nature and its gifts.
