Cara Clove was just an ordinary peasant girl living in the small town of Roi, just off the coast of the Arteirian Sea. Her mother and father were barely making any income and the family was starving. That is, until one day Cara is given a peculiar dagger and wakes up with a knife at her throat. The man tells her to come with him, to escape. Caught by the King, Cara is brought to the castle and offered a job. To hunt the people the King tells her to and bring them back to him in exchange for food and money to her family. Without knowing what happens to her victims, she agrees.

Lyda has been an outcast all her life in Verdallan. While life had never been easy for her following her mother's death, friendships she made a long the way helped her to survive. But, when a new queen takes the throne, Lyda is forced to make a decision that will change her life forever, and she is forced into exile from the only home she's ever known. Exile may sound terrifying but even more so when it sends you into the fae lands that no one has returned from in 500 years. Will Lyda be able to escape exile and save her home? Or will she be trapped amongst a violent kind that has been lost to history forever? Beast of Flames will have chapters posted weekly!
