How can you catch a killer when everyone thinks she's dead?
Detective Sheila Knight works with the L.O.S., which is an agency that specializes in dealing criminal cases against superhumans and aliens. On Saratoga, a few calls have been coming in about a young girl, maybe a teenager, who's been using dark magic to terrorize the citizens of New Typo. The description of the girl matches up with Georgia Sanders.
Here's the problem. Georgia Sanders was murdered alongside Jane Pogo, seven years ago.
As Sheila decides to further investigate the case, some shady characters, who just might be vampires, decide to intervene. Sheila soon learns a few secrets about the L.O.S., and she's blackmailed to back off. As she leaves from the investigation, she decides to go freelance it. But she then finds out she's in way over her head.
But Sheila has a few unlikely allies...
There's Jacob Salone, a multimillionaire who happens to be one of Saratoga's smartest residents; Marcus Pot, a kid who likes to run... Superhumanly fast, Leo Typhus, a strange kid who's not what he seems; Andrew Falker, a guy who was once the leader of the Omega Rebellion; Derek Danger, a guy who really loves explosions; Jewel Pot, a super hot girl living in the fast lane; Thomas Glenwood, a big brute who's normally misunderstood; and Selena Seams, a girl who happens to know a lot about the vampires, cause she happens to be one, well half of one.
Okay so maybe not the best, but Sheila still has faith in her ragtag team
"If you so much as lay a single finger on Jess," Lucas warned in a breathless dry voice. "I'll break every fucking bone in your body and then." He laughed to himself. "I'll burn off the other side of your fucked up face," He whispered, chuckling in Vito's ear.
