Veezara is running from a dark past shrouded in death and mystery. He's seeking redemption by trying to live a better life on the island of Solstheim. In the five years he's spent there, he's almost completely been able to forget his previous life. Until Maryse Whitemane and her family show up. All of Veezara's past comes back to haunt him. With nowhere to run to, Veezara finds himself caught up in a web of secrets, love and destiny.

Meanwhile Skylar Whitemane is also running; but she's running right into her past rather than away from it. But how much more can she take, with her old life coming back to haunt her, colliding with her new life?

This runs simultaneously with Eye of Magnus: they take place at the same time! All characters are owned by Bethesda (except for Skylar, Maryse, Azaron, Blaise and Lucia), as is most of the plot and dialogue.

I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand.
