After the house, life just isn't the same. Everyone wants to know where the rest of Kendall's friends went. How can she explain something she doesn't even understand? She is in love with Mark, how can she live without him? What will she do with a ton of her friends trapped in another dimension? She can't even function without them. Her and her remaining friends set off in search of a way to take back what was once theirs. With the help of two new friends, they find their way to an abandoned train station that just might lead them to what they are looking for.

Mark can't take his mind off her. He doesn't know what to do with himself, every day is the same thing on repeat. They are just sitting and waiting for something that's never going to happen. Already being half dead, they have nothing left to lose. They stumble upon three girls, who just might be the answer to their problems. The friends who didn't make it out, they stick together. They are prepared to do everything in their power to get back home and get out of wherever they are. With winter coming on fast, the cold is stronger than ever. It bites at their flesh, making every step harder than the last. They are running out of time, they have to do something. 

Book 2 of "Under The Floorboards" is told by both Kendall and Mark, alternating every other chapter. The challenges they faced in the house are nothing compared to the cold, starvation, and creatures they have to face within an abandoned train station. Both groups set out, in search of each other. Soon enough, they realize how close together they were all along. The same question is still left unanswered; will they make it out alive?

Amy has has the best life, she has good friends, a good parent, and the best boys chasing after her, but when a new guy, zack, comes and moves right across the street her whole life changes. if you want the first three chapters I will summarize them. chapter 1 Amy is getting ready for her date with a boy from the school that she has been wanting to ask in a long time. but he doesn't come and just disappears from the state. when she is waiting she see a moving van pull up and goes to see who's going to be her new neighbors. chapter 2 when Amy gets over to their yard she introduces herself and says that her mom is at work but will come over and meet them when she gets off work. when she gets home she tells her brother Sam about the girl that lives across the street, and he doesn't want to at first but then Amy tells him that she is his age and he jumps up and runs out of the house. then she goes upstairs to her room and calls her friends Lola and Lizzy to come over and they talk about Zack until Amy's mom comes home and she makes a welcoming dinner for them and they take it over to them that day. that's same day Amy starts getting to know Zack better. chapter 3 Zack wakes Amy up and starts talking to her about their date. it may seem like they are going on a date the day after they just met but Zack it persistent and wants to get to know her better, and he wants to get to know her fast. after Zack is done talking to her she tries to go back to sleep but she can't so she takes a shower. after her shower she gets out and finally looks in the mirror and sees her marks that are like fire but the color is black.
