A Child is Born

Growing up, I used to love five things about Christmas, the time with my family, the time away from school; the visits from Santa Claus, the Christmas programs and of course the presents! But as I grew older, I realized that there was more to the holiday than what was under the tree, a jolly man in a red suit and a two week vacation from school. A century before I even existed, a Child was born to a virgin in a manger, a Child that was more than what He seemed; a child that was destined to save the world. To me, this Child is the true reason for the season and the first and greatest Christmas gift.
