"We, at Big Hit Entertainment, are sorry to announce that we will not be accepting you in our trainee program for the moment. We feel that you do not fit our standards for the time being."

Another day, another rejection letter. How many has it been? Four? Five? I've already lost count.

"Min Joo? Are you still going to try other companies? How many time do you have to be rejected for you to realize that you just don't have the talent to pursue being an idol?" Mom questioned me.

"A hundred more times! No, a thousand more times!" I answered back.

"I won't back down, Mom. I love singing and dancing. It has been a passion of mine since I started. I know it's not too late for me to try another career, but I won't be happy. Please accept the fact that I am not perfect and that I cannot please you and Dad all the time. Please, just give me the chance to be happy." I begged her.

With tears in Mom's eyes she replied, " We'll only give you one more chance." She looked at Dad. " If you're still not accepted, we have no choice but to send you to America to study like what we have always wanted you to do. You have been accepted to one of the best business schools there. I don't know why you're still trying with the idol business of yours. But this is definitely the last time. "

Wiping away my tears, "I'll definitely try my best this time. I won't let my dream fall down the drain. I'm going to try Pledis Entertainment next."

With determination in my eyes, I applied for the open auditions Pledis was hosting next month

Sung Min Joo is an eighteen-year-old math genius. Her parents are business owners. They have always wanted their daughter to continue their business. Min Joo, with her heart full of passion with singing and dancing, cannot accept that. She does her best with everything that she does. She will not let anything back her down. Not even rejection letters can do that. Even love will not sway her heart and mind, or will it.

"Are you home?" "No." Joshua's irritated voice responds. "I'll be down in five." "I just told you I'm not-" she hangs up before sitting up, tying her robe tight, and walking out of the house. She walks outside, down the stairs, and knocks on the front door. She waits for a few seconds before banging on the door. "I'M COMING!" Shua's voice shouts from inside. He opens the door. "What do you want?" She pushes past him and walks into his house, immediately making herself comfortable. She looks around a bit. "Wow." "What do you want from me, thief? I have things to do." "Yeah, whatever." She nods while continuing to examine his house. "Your choice in, color scheme is a little off, but I can work with that." "I'm sorry, what?" She rubs her forehead, a bit annoyed by the situation. "I need your help." "And what makes you think I'd help a thief like you?" "I'm not the thief, you are!" "Whatever, thief." She groans. Her thoughts begin to run wild. "I absolutely hate Hong Jisoo with every bone in my body. He's annoying, narcisistic, knows every little way to get under my skin. I despise him." She thinks to herself. Shua leans up against the wall, waiting for her to explain why she practically barged into his house, uninvited. "I hate him, I hate him, I ABSOLUTELY HATE HIM. So the fact that I am actually depending on him right now, makes me want to rip my hair out." She takes in a deep breath. "But as unexpected as it is, he's my only way out of this." "So, are you just gonna sit there and look stupid? Or..." Shua says with the biggest amount of sass in his voice. He watches as she takes in a deep breath. "Okay, so you're just here to look stu-" "I need you to date me." Shua nearly chokes on his own saliva. "WHAT!?" [ Most events, background stories, some characters, and history are fictional! She hoped to see him at the school but soon found out she wasn't accepted. Thinking she'd never see him again, she went on to a school of arts college in Korea.
