Amina Rose has only ever lived one life. Her parents part ways at an early age during high school when Amina was only born. Being raised by her mother, that side of her life was always a blank canvas. Her father and his family was a part of her life that never existed. She knew nothing, but the fact that he left. Unexpectedly Amina receives a letter from a person on the other side, and instantly her world is changed. With no history of that part of her, she is left with a mind filled of curiosity.
This one letter opens up the world that was always kept hidden from her. A life so different to what she's always had. This was her chance to discover the other half of her. But with that comes family feud, big surprise, and a twist on love.

An Unexpected Moment

Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either.
