Tatsumi Ryoku, a 17 year old boy, walks home after school with constant thoughts of his dead friend, how he could have prevented her death. When he arrives home, he finds a letter addressed to him in neat handwriting. After reading the letter, he discovers that the letter was written by the girl he knew who had died a week ago.
