Jenny Auburn can't tell the difference between a white or black person, besides the visual. She knew that we all had the same thoughts, the same feelings. Jen grows up in a world were people aren't treated like people, that the definition of a black person, was an animal. Jen loves a person that no one else in the her world could love. Protecting the sister she loves most, could destroy her. However, she wanted to do this, she needed to.

Set in the 1800's, colonial America, this is the story of Mercy Peters, an African American slave woman who gets sold throughout the south and ends up meeting a white man---that ends up changing her life. This story will be more raw than my other stories because I feel so strongly about slavery , and the life of a woman during that time. Enjoy. Might me inappropriate for younger viewers. Guys, I hope the way the story is written does not offend anybody. I only based the way she speaks on excerpts I read in my AP U.S history class. It gets better later on in the story. Again, I have no rude intentions in this story. I am a black person myself and although I am not African-American, I can relate.
