This story will be more raw than my other stories because I feel so strongly about slavery , and the life of a woman during that time. Enjoy. Might me inappropriate for younger viewers. Amlyne had been fighting the feelings she felt for Jeffrey Alan or Jeff for 10 years. They met when she was 11 and he was 14. He had moved from Vermont to South Carolina. He was a chubby boy who wanted nothing more than to race cars. She was a be-speckled, mousy 11 year old who just tried to stay out of the way of bullies. The day they met something happened. She not only had to fight her own feelings but also had to fight with her parents. They did not approve of JP. They saw him as bad influence and dangerous.
