A Hawk's Shadow

Ian Alacrity has lost everything. He now wanders through villages and towns, staying wherever others would have him. With his hawk, Kindle, as a companion, he walks into Yosemite Valley, a place where superstition surrounds it like a veil and is feared by the natives that live close by.
