Rusty Halo

It’s been too long. This never-ending soul reaping is getting too old. I can’t even remember how I got here, how many souls I reaped. Be it animal, human or nephilim souls, it just doesn’t get better.
Well, not until now, there’s something different inside me.
It started from the day she was born - from the day that I reaped her mom. It was a feeling that I cannot explain, it felt like I was being drawn to her, it feels as if my insides were being constricted, yet it did not hurt, it felt like I was continuously being zapped in a gentle way that made me crave for more. But this feeling scared me, I made haste in reaping her mom’s soul, and immediately fled to the next job waiting for me.
I thought that was it, but her time was running up, time to meet her again…
