Dan Howell never had a place he could call home. He lived in a house with his biological family, but it never felt like home to him. He couldn't be himself in that environment without unfaltering judgement and was without any support.

Dan had eventually accepted that this is his fate. He would live out his days being a hermit, without anyone by his side. He'd truly be forever alone.

That is, until Phil Lester came along.
