It's a simple love story set in the 1940's during World War 2. Boy meets girl. They fall in love and promise to marry some day. But then the boy joins the army and leaves the girl at home. Alone. She can't cope and she finds herself doing something she would have never imagined. She's still in love, but because of a promise they made a long time ago she can't tell him anything. She can't show him her true feelings. So she drinks them away.
