Korinne Black is an old love interest of Newt Scamander, the best of friends before even starting their career at Hogwarts. Korinne was the popular Gyffindor girl that knew everyone and was best friends with all of her teachers while Newt was the shy invisible Hufflepuff boy who had very few friends and had a major liking for magical creatures. They realized their feelings for each other in 3rd year and started dating. Newt didn't have a ring so, when he proposed to Korinne in 5th year, he gave his family time turner made of pure gold and the dust in the hourglass was a light dusty pink, one of her many favourite colors. When they were in their 6th year, Newt got expelled for something he didn't do and it broke Korinne and Newt's heart. Years later they meet again in New York, Korinne still has the time turner and had sworn she would never take it off.
