Sirius Black doesn't expect to find out anything overly important when he reads Remus Lupin's diary. After all, the last time he read it was in second year, and although they had found out he was a werewolf Sirius didn't think there was anything else Remus was hiding. What he discovers leaves him in a whirlwind of confusing emotions and leaves him wondering; who was this mysterious guy that Remus seemed to be falling in love with, and how dare they hurt his Moony.
Update: Wow @ me, at least ur better at writing descriptions than u are at story titles (please suggest titles people I need help). Also now I know where I was going with this lmao. Chapter 2 is better than chapter 1 because my writings improved in the year and a half since I first posted this. Crossposted on ao3

When Remus doesn't show up at Hogwarts, Sirius is faced with the challenge of moving past old quarrels and helping his friend. Is he worthy of Remus? Is he worthy of his friends? Warnings: Some homophobia, implied childhood abuse, physical fighting, coming out Exciting update! Part 2: Sirius and Remus are in love, but the world is shifting, and the Marauders are growing older. Soon, they will have to leave Hogwarts and find their own way through the world among the growing turmoil in the wizarding community. These are stories of love, friendship, family, and sometimes pain that shape the Marauders during their final years at Hogwarts and beyond. Most of what you are about to read was written around three years ago during a difficult period in my life. I won't go into the details of such things here, but I can say that writing about the Marauders, often daily at the time, was an escape for me and what was initially a plan for a cohesive second installment of my "Mirror Moon" story quickly changed into something that resembled a collection of moments. I figured I'd never be able to share it because the story doesn't run smoothly, but when I opened the document today and saw that I'd written over 170,000 words, I knew that I needed to comb through it and find the individual stories within. All I hope is that these stories can bring you joy, entertainment or even just a short escape as they did for me all those years ago.
Fight For You // Wolfstar AU
A wolfstar AU (no-magic) {a relatively short story} The 1970s, a wonderful time of bold makeup, bell-bottom jeans, vinyl shops, police brutality and rampant homophobia. You get the gist. In which, Remus Lupin is a fresh-faced wallflower just out of college, supporting his community in miniature efforts, as to not get noticed. Sirius Black, maybe not as fresh-faced but still just out of college, is, let's say, a little bolder. He's happy to be noticed - even happier when it's the freckled boy that hides in the library. Disclaimer: my parents weren't even a twinkle in someone's eyes in the 70s. Historical accuracy isn't going to be my focus point; but I'll try my best. And obviously, I don't own the main characters, but I wish I did. ::::::Without context, I'm sorry in advance. Remus was glad he could play the song well enough by now that he didn't have to look down at his hands constantly, but then he made the stupid mistake of looking up at Sirius. He was drenched in sweat and his satin shirt clung to his torso, his dark hair hanging over his face in glistening black waves. Remus felt his breath catch in his throat as Sirius locked eyes with him, making his way over to Remus as he continued to sing, before leaning against the back of the piano to sing to Remus. Remus prayed that the heat of the stage and their performance would suit as a good enough excuse as to why his face was probably flushed red. He didn't think that Sirius Black could look any more gorgeous than he did at that moment, his grey eyes alive with joy, the light catching them as he stared at him, singing in his slightly husky voice, his face shiny with sweat and that damn guitar slung around his shoulder. OR in which the marauders decide to start a band whilst they're at hogwarts :) NOTES -so obviously this is set in the 70s, so i know technically not all the songs in this fic would have been released at the exact time this is set but i just really wanted the marauders to vibe to certain songs so please just accept it ;) and i mean- they're still songs from 70s-80s it's just that some of them came out a little later than when the marauders were in fifth year... -i also know that technically sirius ran away from home in the year this was set but i dont really touch upon it so sorry ab that, and i dont talk about prefect remus either but hey oh well -also the marauders do use the room of requirement in this fic, even tho in canon its likely they never discovered it at their time in hogwarts since it doesn't show up on the marauders map but hey it's a fanfic so don't come at me ty :) started: 12th May 2023 finished:Complete
