"Fuck it, Lily. Just marry me." I can smell the alcohol in his breath. He punches the wall and looks at me with angry, desperate eyes. "You wanna know the truth? That Prince Bernard of Eden is actually fucking obsessed with you. Hell, he'd kill every single one of us just for you! And my ass brother Victor will never appreciate and love you the way that-"
He pauses abruptly. He couldn't finish his sentence. He shakes his hand and downs another shot of whatever alcohol he is drinking.
"The way that- what?" I ask quietly, regretting it instantly.
"The way that I always have." He takes a few steps closer and I try to back up a little. He's scaring me.
His gaze is starting to burn me, his eyes mesmerizing.
He takes my wrists and I struggle for him to release, but a voice in my head is letting him touch me. His hands roughly reach my shoulders and he pulls me closer to him. He lowers his head nearer until his nose brushes mine. His stare is making my knees droopy. I hold my breath, not knowing what to do.
"Goddamnit, Lily. Just choose me."
