I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. COVID...the pandemic entered our lives, the deadliest in a hundred years and caused a catastrophic change in our lives. It caused serious disruption of the economies all over the world and changed the way that we had lived earlier, drawing us out of our comfort zones. But there is another side of the story too, small as it may appear. It made us introspect and reach out for some of the things in life that we always longed for, but never had the time nor the sufficient will to indulge in, often hiding behind the veil of pretense that we cover around ourselves. One of the most cherished things that emerged out of this dismal scenario is that many of us found the time and the appetite for the company of our most loved ones, chiefly our parents. No one saw this coming, something like this happening is never planned by anyone, it was small at first, subtle warning's from the news then it hit hard within a couple hours, weeks.
