Seven and a half quiet years had passed since the second wizarding war and the battle of Hogwarts. In those seven years Emma had suffered with the loss of jobs and getting around and settling down with a profession she enjoyed. Not wanting a high career like Harry Potter and his friends, Emma stayed quiet in the Muggle world away from her family and friends.

Reports begin to file in on the news and in the papers about dark cults reappearing in the Muggle world. Emma thinks nothing of it and continues her daily routine; going happily to her work and then returning home to use magic.

 She begins to realise that using magic without the curtains drawn was one of her biggest mistakes.
