Brendon Urie, a middle aged bachelor in 1950's Chicago is going nowhere fast. He's a musician at a small, unpopular bar and the only housing he can afford is a small run down apartment. The only connection he gets with people is when they pay him tips, or when he chats up girls at the bar, occasionally ending in a one night stand. He fills the voids in his life with smoking and alcohol. However... things just might be about to turn around for him.
