"I wear this mask to protect you"
"Oh really?"
"Yes. Otherwise you would probably die. I am just that beautiful"
•••••
Getting kidnapped is definitely one way to kick off the New Year.
Getting b*tch slapped by some woman in a clown wig is starting to get a little bit ridiculous.
Being rescued by a pair of supervillains in spandex multiple times is bordering on insane.
And when said supervillains start stalking you, well then that is just straight up psycho.

Daisy Matthews doesn't much care for a loud life and prefers to lay low. However, when an evil criminal called Skull and his sidekick Blade start personally stalking her, she's forced to live in the limelight: the limelight of do-gooders and do-betters.

With the Devilish Duo's new infatuation controlling all the gossip in Horto City, all kinds of people are eager to use Daisy as bait for capturing the chaotic men.

Fortunately, these supervillains aren't going down without a fight. And it doesn't hurt that Daisy has a few of her own powers to boot.

The Starlight Sentinels: The Amusing Story of a Struggling Superhero Team by JGrayDingler
8 parts Complete
A man, a woman, a boy, a girl, a demon, and an alien, all walk into a bar... THEY FIGHT CRIME! The Starlight Sentinels goes beyond The Watchmen's question of "Who would want to be a superhero?" by asking "Who would want to be a superhero if being a superhero was just another job people needed doing?" The Starlight Sentinels, that's who! They're not your traditional superhero team, and they're not the other guys either, nor are they the grizzled antihero type. Instead, they're just people who happen to work as superheroes in a world where being a superhero isn't so much a call to greatness as it is an eccentric career choice and super villains are just another problem that people try not to think about. Drawing inspiration from films such as Shawn of the Dead and TV series such as the Venture Bros, the Starlight Sentinels was crafted to be an amusing and occasionally action-packed adventure grounded by a diverse cast of humorous but relatable characters. You may laugh at their numerous missteps, but you'll also be cheering for these heroes and heroines hard-earned triumphs as well. Join this comedic costumed cabal in their debut adventure as they fight crime and battle the forces of evil anytime they're not stuck filling out forms for the police, trying to appease their overbearing corporate sponsor, struggling to gain recognition from an apathetic public, or arguing over whose turn it is to do the shopping in this hilarious tongue-in-cheek tale that takes on all things superhero! If you enjoy the first half of The Starlight Sentinels, you can pick up the full book on every major eBook seller, or order a printed copy from Amazon or Createspace.
When A Villain Falls [Yandere Villain x Hero] by Lost_With_Alice

"Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite hero," the villain taunted, their voice dripping with mischief. "Always so serious. You know, seriousness doesn't look good on you. How about a little fun?" Suppressing the urge to react, I squared my shoulders and met their gaze with steely resolve. "Fun? You call destroying lives and spreading chaos 'fun'?" I shot back, refusing to be swayed by their honeyed words. But the villain persisted, closing the distance between us with a predatory grace. "Oh, come on now, don't pretend you don't feel the sparks between us," they purred, their eyes alight with an unsettling allure. "You and I, we could make quite the dynamic duo." I clenched my fists, the urge to strike rising within me. But I held back, reminding myself of the principles that guided my every action. "The only thing sparking between us is the clash of our ideals," I retorted, my voice firm. "I fight for justice, not for whatever twisted game you're playing." The villain's laughter echoed through the desolate alleyway, bouncing off the decaying walls. "Ah, but justice is such a dull concept, don't you think?" they sneered, circling me with a predatory grace. "How about we spice things up a bit?" I stood my ground, unwavering in my conviction. "I'll never stoop to your level," I declared, my tone unwavering. "My duty is to protect the innocent and uphold the law." But the villain was relentless, their words like poison seeping into my mind. "Duty, duty, duty," they mocked, their voice dripping with disdain. "You heroes are all the same. But deep down, you know there's a part of you that yearns for something more... exhilarating."

Masks are Greater than Sunglasses [ COMPLETE ]

47 parts Complete

COMPLETE | EDITS COMING SOON ***** "That mask covers like 2% of your face a good pair of sunglasses would be more effective." "Hey, in every Superhero movie when they are in disguise that's what they wear and no one recognizes them." ***** Rya Morgan hates Superheroes. Well, maybe not hates. But in a world where everyone adores the enhanced, Rya's avid distrust makes her an outsider in a sea of mega fans. So when she's thrust from her relatively normal life into a classically cliched Superhero story, Rya fights her hardest to get out. Too bad her best friend Trey Roberts also happens to be the newest member of the League of Heroes. He might be new to the whole Superhero thing, but he's not going to let Rya get hurt on his watch. Unfortunately, that leaves just one option, for Trey's mysterious partner LP to intervene. For a Hero, he sure does have an off-the-books way of working that causes he and Rya to clash instantly. The more ingrained into her life the Supers become the more desperate Rya is to figure out who's targeting her, and more importantly, who LP is beneath the mask. Rya is willing to do anything for the truth. Anything, that is, except reliving the memories she's tried so hard to erase. ***** | First Place | The Pizza Awards ***** Warnings : Mild language, Mentions of depression and suicide
