"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
~ Maya Angelou
Penn Harlow is a writer. She's grown up in the wonderfully diverse city of Melbourne, but has decided that her debut into the literary world needs to be nothing short of fantastic; insightful, honest, refreshing. And she can't write that kind of story in the place shes grown up in, the place she knows like the back of her hand. So she relocates to a country town about two hours south of Melbourne; surrounded by rolling green hills, in places wild bush, and so many cows. Her plan was to affiliate herself into the town, write her masterpiece, and leave. But she gets distracted by the pretty seventeen year old waitress - Mini- at the town's pub.
After all, everyone needs a muse.
When Harlow accidentally takes the wrong bag at school she discovers a journal written by a mysterious, tortured boy inside. She becomes obsessed with discovering who it belongs to and how she can find him before it's too late. Will she find the real boy behind His Dark Words?
"I ... never ... thought ... you ... wanted ..." he says between kisses.
"I can fix this ... I swear I can ..." comes my breathless answer.
Suddenly he jolts away from me, holding me at arm's length. "What do you mean, Harlow?"
"I ... I mean I can help ... I can fix you." I stammer.
