[Part One of the Broken Ruby Series] Lilith Buchanaan is a girl disguised as a boy. She has lived her whole life in the shadows and likes it that way. She was trained to protect the innocent, hide in plain sight, never get caught, never fear, remain silent, welcome pain, and accept death when it finally comes. She knows of the deadly war between the Templars and the assassins and she is in the middle, neither rooting for the assassins or the Templars she simply kills those who kill innocents. Killing both Templars and assassins is dangerous, but to her its a price she will pay to keep the public away from the war. She hides in the shadows, never gets caught, and never gets attached. Her life isn't perfect, assassins hunting her and Templars trying to capture her for the reward her father offers, she is lucky she ever gets to do anything and when she finally does she is caught. She keeps to her oath and is willing to accept death, but it doesn't come, instead she finds herself travelling the seas and helping the assassins. Lilith has a dark past and as it starts catching up with her she has no where to run.
