Defender (being rewritten again)

"Why do you side with them?... Is it fame... a want to be recognised... or maybe it's ignorance? You will probably never understand what they did to me... You seem to know Alola more than Sun and Moon did, more than I ever did to be honest... So I'll ask you now, Why do you side with them?"

"What has that got to do with this?"

"I am merely curious, I've never met a trainer like you. You seem wise beyond your years yet you have only been here a few months..."

"Ten years have passed. You changed. They changed. The old has to make way for the new. As for what side I'm on... well... you know better than to trap a fox. Especially since what you have become taints the image of the boy that was the light of many lives but never knew until it was too late."

Shard has lived a life of a princess until now, restless and looking for adventure her mother sends her to the Pokemon world. To Alola.
However... ten years have passed since Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon took place. Alola is different now, more dark and subdued, though it may seem happy enough a place. Shard soon comes to realise that one person is missing.

Hau.

Troubled she seeks out the truth only to find that she is walking deeper into danger than she first realised. With her starter Pokemon, a Shiny Zoura with duel coloured eyes named Izanami, the rest of her team and some unlikely allies she works to unravel the plans of the sinister organisation that works in the shadow of the moon and sun.
But as she gets closer, so does the enemy. The Tapu are restless, Solgaleo and Lunala are missing and Ultra Wormholes are opening up everywhere but not disgorging the beasts. However a King hidden in shadow grows restless, the time to attain his power is drawing ever closer.

Will Shard figure out who this Shadowy King is? And when she does, can she find the strength to defeat him?
