Albus Severus Potter has grown up under the roof of one of the most famous wizards of all time - his father, Harry Potter. His brother, James, has tormented him with jokes and tricks that closely mimicked those done by the Weasley twins, and the Marauders. All he hopes for is to become his own person - an individual. And now he finally has the chance to achieve that dream. Albus's first year at Hogwarts is the chance for a new start, and that's what he is counting on. But when Albus's perfect, easily-changed little world is turned upside-down, he learns quickly that individuality is a difficult thing to come by, these days. Not to mention the secrets he learns not only about his own father's time at Hogwarts, but also those secret years of one Professor McGonagall. Read if you must, but remember: all is not as it seems. The Next Generation
This is my own version of the next generation's first year at Hogwarts. I wrote the majority of this story long before The Cursed Child came out, so it does not follow a similar plot line. Albus, Rose, and Scorpius struggle to be friends as they are sorted into different houses. Draco and Harry meet again, and this time, things are different. Scorpius explains how his mother died.
