"When running for your life, why not choose the scenic route?"

Travel with Dr. Alexander R. Julian, a post-regenerated teenager from the year 2029, as he lives on the run from a pair of bounty hunters that were hired by The Illuminati.

On the way he meets Kate D. Lake; a sweet girl from old New York [1909], and Martin; a toucan from the last few days of The Great Flood in the year 2343 B.C. He will even travel to 2038 and beyond to find friends who can help him.

The trio travel from city to city and decade to decade trying to stay away from the bounty hunters.

Alex, not wanting to waste the opportunity for being forced to travel, uses his time (and place) traveling device to follow the timeline of the development of the elevator.

Join them as they travel through time and place to see the world as it is, was, and will be with the iterations of the elevator. A true marvel of technology.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! ⚠️Disclaimer from author ⚠️ This story , its characters, and stylistic choices (including nonlinear chapters design and character naming such as "Kairo") are original creations of Edward Juarez. Any similarities found elsewhere after this posting are coincidental or derivative. I've crafted this story from my voice, my vision, and my time. If you're inspired by what I write, awesome. But don't copy. Thank you In a Future where everyone receives a visit from their future self, one man has yet to receive his. Alone in a world of clarity and second chances, he clings to the hope that one day his door will open too. And he will soon learn: The knock at the door isn't always your own. At least...not in this time-line. Because when things begin to loop- Time begins to bleed. Authors note: This is my first completed Novella, and it means a lot to me. "Timeline Forty-one" was born from a single image: a man waiting for something that never comes-until it does. In the strangest possible way. Thank you for reading. If you felt something-follow and stick around for more. Final chapters coming before February. New book announced In March
