The term 'raised by wolves' has never been more accurate.

As a baby I was found in the forest, inside the territory of the fearsome Alcaeus Aatu werewolf Clan; led by Jenna Knight. Her beta's, Ace and Hansel, adopted me and I couldn't have asked for better parents; the pack though, well, they left something to be desired. As the only human in a pack full of werewolves, I wasn't welcomed; I was the fat, human outcast.

One day when rouges attacked I decided that I'd finally had enough. I left and never looked back, running to England to join the military after a life of being the weak link.

After several years serving in the military, life throws me a curve ball and I soon find myself returning home after years away.

*Third book in The Mate series. No you don't have to read the previous books.*

You can read it without reading the first but you'll know the characters better if you read them in order. The next book will be "Raised By Wolves" a werewolf pup adopted by wild wolves so check it out when it becomes available. Story excerpt "I was found bleeding in the road. They took me to the hospital and saved my life." I say "What were your wounds?" He aks. "Nope my turn. What is this place?" I ask knowing I'm testing his patience but he is obviously boss here and I want answers. "My pack." He answers "your injuries?" I dont know how to answer that so I turn away from him. I dont know what hurt me only the marks it left. "Answer ME!" His words make me stiffen and I feel my hands reach for the bottom of my shirt. I slide it off and turn to the man. A stand there chest exposed. I'm boney from lack of food and bruised from my foster father and brother. Amid all the fresh brusing three white lines stand out stretching from my shoulder to my hip. "This is what they were healing!" I yell trying not to cry. I remember the pain of the marks when they were fresh. Feeling embarrassed I put my shirt back on. "Rouges." The man whispers. "Those bruses." Ruby says from behind me. "The "Love" of my "family."" I tell her. "My turn." I say and the man turns back to me as he was facing the other adults. He raises his eyebrow and I take it as permission to continue. "What are rouges?" "Packless werewolves." He says. My jaw drops. werewolves? WEREWOLVES!? What the? "They are just a story." I say. "You know better than that." He says.

My mum always used to tell me what it's like to see your mate for the first time. She used to say that at that moment, everything around you stopped, that nothing else mattered. And nothing else would matter. If it wasn't for the little girl clinging to my leg right now. That little girl that trusts me with her life, that beautiful little girl that made me hold on and not give up on life. That little girl, whose father is standing in front of me right now. He's my mate. The edges of his lips curve and he looks up and down as if checking me out. "Long time no see." Are the words that first come out of his mouth that break the silence. ~~~~~~~~~~ Lexie is an Alpha's daughter. She faces a hard few days and thinks a night at the club will help her get through this. A few drinks won't hurt, right? At least that's what she thinks. Yet that night will change everything sooner than she would ever imagine. When the next day, her pack gets attacked, everything is chaos. Her mother and father are killed and her world shatters. She's forced to run away and leave everyone that she still has left behind. She thinks she has no one... that's until she finds out about another heartbeat in her body. Raising a baby on your own is hard enough. After a few years she finally meets her mate though and it turns out she knows him after all. How will she confess that her mate is actually her daughter's father? What will happen now? We don't live in a fairy tale where every story has a happy ending though. Real world isn't that easy...if you can call a world full of mystical creatures very real.

He'd run away from home because it wasn't safe. But waking upwith Wolves who were once his kinds enemies, it didn't give him that sense of instant peace. But maybe it could be home? Or will his past come to stalk him and ruin his possible happiness? Excerpt: My mother had been a rogue tiger that Marcus had wanted and kept for his own. He wasn't my father thank god. That had been a man who'd Marcus had killed when she turned up pregnant with me. She'd died giving birth to me. As I'd grown up I'd become my mothers substitute. I don't think he really cared that I was a male. I was her child and that was enough. I'd known from a young age I was a sun tiger, only a tiger like me was solid gold with only black strips on my skin. I knew that without my clan I'd be a rogue. It had worked for my mother for years. Though she didn't have babies to care for. In truth I needed a clan to protect them. There had to be someone somewhere that would take me in. I was rare, surely that counted for something. It would be ideal for me to find my mate. I had prayed that the goddess would bring him or her to me. But now... they hadn't come to me, so I'd have to protect myself. I new the chances of me just bumping into them were nonexistent so I'd have to do what I had to in order to be safe.
