Jack Halten is just boy who dropped out of college to travel the world and photograph his findings of paranormal activity and supernatural creatures. He wasn't expecting to find love but that was before he met Tariq.
Tariq Twistedheart is a Shadow Person who got partnered with the abusive Abdiel. Abdiel is his demon and doesn't let him go outside for midnight flights. Without his midnight flights, Tariq has grown weak and frail. After he finally convinces Abdiel to let him out, he meets Jack Halten.
