'Ow' I mouthed as I pried my heavy eyes open. The pain was indescribable. It shot from my stomach and through my head in waves as I picked myself up from the cold and damp cement, only to find my self falling back down. I roll over to my back. My vision blurred. My head is spinning. My breath getting shallower. And my hearing is muffled. My vision begins to blacken once again. The nose filled with an iron smell. But I don't know where it's coming from. Something is causing my pain to worsen with the slightest move I make.I don't know what. I shakily crane my neck over to see a blurry vision of my palms and torso covered in crimson blood. 'Is that my blood?' I whispered. I set my hand back down. Into a puddle of a slightly thick and warm liquid. Its fine. I rest my head back to its side. My once acid yellow hair, now matted. Sticking to my forehead with sweat and... Blood. My blood? I thought again. My breathing became shallow and my heavy eyes seemed to have found a way to shut. I heard faint rapid footsteps echoing the dim lit alleyway. First soft, then louder by the second. Then an abrupt stop. I could feel the stare piercing me for just a few seconds before I slowly crack a weak smile. "JOSH!" He yelled frantically.

You walk down a crowded New York street. A cold wind blew, and you pull your coat tighter around yourself. You slip off the busy street and down a small alley. I hate living in New York, you think. Always run, run, run. Go, go, go. You are so deep in thought that you don't see the men walking up behind you. "Well, well, well. What do we 'ave 'ere?" a large man said, who appears to be the ringleader. The others laugh and form a tight circle around you. "W-what do you want?" you ask, your voice shaking.
