Sarah never let anyone know who she really was. She wears dark colors and a wig, colored contacts , and hides her emotions within the words she never says. Only her father Andrew , best friend Laura, childhood friend Mark , and older brother know, she isn't mute, she isn't depressed, she isn't emotionless. She hides away who she is and waits to see if anyone will try to know the real Sarah.
Steven is considered cold to strangers, his friends know he's kind and caring but from the outside he seems frightening. He doesn't know why everyone stares at the silent girl. And isn't to fond about finding out WHY they stare, he just lets her be her from across the room.
One day Sarah is humiliated by a cheerleader, pouring soup on her and causing most of the people to laugh, and runs out of the school and right into a guy with bright eyes and a cold exterior and in her hurry she lets out a single word " Damn."
And runs to her car and drives home in tears. Not realizing she behind her sketch book.

The... thing introduces himself as Ben, a supposed ghost who's "on the run" from something too, although Jeff isn't sure what. But it's definitely not law enforcement. After trying to avoid Ben and being unsuccessful, he finally caves and lets him stick around for a while, realizing that they might have a lot more in common than he originally thought. Together, they evade capture and learn much more about each other than they thought they would. But just how attached is Jeff going to get to this guy? And why does he remind him of someone he was close to? "Every time I close my eyes, I see a man with long arms and no face." said Emily. *** Adam lives in a small town in Massachusetts with his two daugthers and husband. He gets a phone call from his youngest daugther on the way home from school. She tell him she'll take the way through the forest, but promise to be careful. They say goodbye and hung up. But she never comes home. Adam report her missing. He gets another call later in the night from his husband. He tells me that Emily is in the hospital. She was found unconscious in the woods by the police. Luke says she has horrible nightmares about a man without a face. Adam and Vanessa quickly go to the hospital to be by her side. Three days later, Emily is allowed to return home. But she's not the same again. She has still nightmares and she see things that nobody else see. Adam and Luke are very worried about her. When Emily is accused of stabbing her classmate, they know they have to help her.Complete

An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote.
