*** This is the short story (novelette length) that goes along with "A Lioness' Tale: Confessions of an Ambitionista". If you enjoy this story, and the first (5) chapters of "ALT: Confessions of an Ambitionista," then I have paperback copies of the full book for sale. ***

Now, about the story. This is but a moment in time in Gabriella's life where she comes into contact with a man that she had long ago given up on. If you read the chapters from ALT, then you know the story of her and Kenny and how it all ended. Well, this story happens a little later when she goes to Brazil and runs into, of all people, Kenny. It's tense at first, as the emotions from both come rushing back. But their rendezvous is anything but tense.

I hope you enjoy the story.

University friends Luisa and Kay reunite in Nairobi after a year apart to do some feel good volunteering but their friendship and the trip begin to unravel the moment they meet a strikingly handsome British philanthropist and a Ghanaian entrepreneur. In short order the donor funding the project that has brought them together is revealed to be rich and cruel, her interest in coming to Kenya to "help" routed in deeply disturbing ideology. Meanwhile, Luisa must confront her reasons for maintaining her friendship with Kay, her status as heir to a nearly incalculable fortune, her feelings for a man who seems a little too good to be true and the tragedy she left behind back in California. ** A/N This story is a work of fiction, but it's based on things I saw and heard while working in international development for five years. It's my attempt to find the complicated middle ground between those who would idealize international development and those who would condemn it. It's also a place for me to deal with a difficult friendship I had with a friend who was suffering from mental illness. She's since passed away and I'm not sure I ever really got over it. The story isn't at all done so as I'm writing I'm figuring it out too. I've set the story Nairobi and in Kisumu, which is far west of Nairobi. I've picked the title partly because of what Nairobi represents. Nairobi is a throbbing, innovative metropolis situated in a continent that is still viewed very narrowly as a place in need of help.

⚠️THIS WAS MY FIRST BOOK SO BEWARE!⚠️ A mother sets up his womanizer 18 year old son Kyle with 18 year old girl named Wynter. Kyle is a flirt, always gets what he wants, and doesn't care about the girls hearts he's broken. Wynter is blunt and speaks her mind a lot, she doesn't care what people think about her and she doesn't like snobby rich boys. Kyle's mom wanted him to find a wife before he takes over his dads million dollar company. Kyle's mom sets up Kyle and Wynter on the second day of August. Will they work out and be together ? Or will Kyle drop Wynter and take over his dads million dollar company alone ? [WARNING] Also this is a interracial relationship book meaning a black women and white man dating, a Brazilian women and black man dating, and a white women and black man dating. The list could go on. If you do not like that then please don't read the book and don't put rude fucking comments about interracial dating. Thank you ! :)
