King Thranduil has kept someone locked up for thousands of years in Greenwood, intending to never let him out. But when a mistake causes the horrible prisoner to be released upon Middle Earth it puts everyone in danger, especially when he joins with the enemy. But the prisoner also has a hidden goal, and will not rest until it is fulfilled. He kidnaps Merry, and when the fellowship goes to rescue him, they find the captor to not be who anyone would ever expect...
