"This is a story about a real girl and a real boy, who face the worst circumstances in their life, and manage to fall in love."
Based on a true-ish story.
Anita Jameson just wanted peace and quiet. She didn't want a boy friend, or a best friend or even a new car on her sweet 16 like every other girl in her year. No. She yearned for her head to stop screaming and her bones to stop their incessant ache because 'God, this town must be what hell feels like.' But she chose to slap on a smile and go about her day pretending everything was rainbows and gumdrops. Thats how she chose to live her life, and she was starting to get comfortable in it.
Tristan Fitzpatrick isn't exactly what you call fake, but... he wasn't real either. He just hovered in between where he felt the most alive. He hated almost everyone and everything, but lord knows he couldn't get Anita Jameson off his mind. He knew one thing though. One day, he would become an astronaut. Childish or not, he knew he had to get off this god forsaken planet.
What happens when two wild kids that have let society tame them fall in love?
