I back away from the computer, feeling a strong eye roll coming on.
"God your sister is such a bitch," Bella shakes her head.
"Step-sister," I correct Bella, harshly. "And soon to be ex-step-sister, if you remember."
"Right." she nods. "Anyways, what were you reading?"
"Night Lights," I stick out my tongue, laughing a little.
"I remember that book! We used to re-read it like once a week when we were kids," she chuckles along, picking up the book from my bed.
"And unlike us, those twelfth grade girls had the night of their lives." I shrug, still frustrated by the comment.
"That's it!" Bella gets that extremely common eureka look on her face.
"What's it?" I squint at her, suspiciously.
"They had the night of their lives in the city of their dreams! We're just a fairy away from the City, we can do exactly what they did. We don't have to be losers, graduation isn't here yet, S!" she closes her eyes.
"Oh I can't say no to that face." I smile, awkwardly.
"So it's settled then, we'll take the ferry to the city tonight!"
