Carla, a college student, was planning a trip along with her friends
for the upcoming spring break. they decided to go to Miami Florida beach to get away from their current worries.
it was all ruined when I got an unexpected call. it was my uncle. he said that my father was on his deathbed, that I was to immediately come home.
and I said yes uncle I will be on the plane tonight and I will be there by morning and my uncle said ok my child I will see you then.
after I hung up with my uncle I begin to hurry and pack. with tears coming down my cheek. hoping to see my papa for one last time before he passes I prayed.
I got to the airport about 9 pm that night I boarded the plane and sat down in my chair.
with tears still coming down my cheeks thinking back to the good old day that I had with my papa as I cried my self to sleep.

"I-I heard Alex and Aiden talking in Italian!" she stammered, her eyes wide with panic. "They said something about the Mafia! Are we being threatened by the Mafia?" Her voice cracked, and tears threatened to spill from her brown eyes. The room fell silent for a moment. My brothers exchanged looks, and then, without warning, we all burst into laughter. Nefeli stared at us, completely confused. Cole, finally calming down, wiped his eyes and looked at her with a smile. "Love" he said, his voice smooth, "we're not being threatened by the Mafia." he let the words settle in the air for a second.
