  Alexandria has known only one lifestyle: bound by chains and locked away in the darkness, living in pain and isolation for her whole life. 
  Perhaps, if she ever did escape that life, the darkness trapped in her bones would only entice her back, the unforgivable memories that linger in the shadows pulling her back towards the only thing she has ever known.
  Or perhaps, there is something different out there for her. A different life, not so dark or painful, no longer trapped. Perhaps she would be able to claw the darkness out of her bones and live as normally as a magic wielder can.
