Her team mates Katie and Arden are now her closest friends and have supported her like she has supported them. But when a devastating accident at the gym causes Annie to lose her leg what will happen? I originally wanted this book to be based on what it would be like for Caleb to have a twin sister in his teenage years but a few months after I wrote the first chapter he passed away so I decided to change it up. Everything always looks fine from the outside. Riley Raymond is a part of A Troupe, which, after winning Nationals, are now invited to the most prestigious competitions in the country, heading to Internationals and have the strongest team The Next Step has ever seen. Riley's relationship with her boyfriend James couldn't be better and, although they're not without their arguments, she knows her sister Emily cares about her. But the past can't be changed. Riley isn't the girl she was 4 years ago - events and people have certainly made sure of that. But she wouldn't show her weaknesses now, she knows letting people in can only get you hurt. And she's not the only one with problems. At the same time, Emily is struggling to cope on her own at home, when everyone is out, getting on with their lives. Restricted to the confinement of their house, she's slowly going slightly crazy. Even though he didn't want to admit it, the truth hurt him more than he hurt her. Elise Gardner is the new girl in town. Know that if she tells Daniel, it could ruin their friendship. She decides to tell him, but that all soon backfires...when Daniel doesn't believe her. Will her and Daniel's friendship make it? And what happens when he finds out the truth, after what he's done to her (and more?)? The thing about the truth is that no matter how hard one tries to keep it in, it would eventually get out and when it does, it won't always have the most positive outtake. DISCLAIMER #1: I wrote this story when I was a teen and while some mental disorders are the focal point, they may not be accurate representations as I was far from being a psychologist. There are several things Lynn doesn't quite get about the world she lives in, which makes it harder for her to figure herself out. She is not your average teenager. She's young, intelligent, though something about her is off by now. Everyone is quick to misjudge and point fingers, everything and everyone is so corrupted that she's afraid she'll lose herself among a bunch of wandering, empty souls.
