THE NIGHT GANG

"I'm not sure what I remember, it was all a blur. I know that for sure I was close to dieing. They had the rope around my neck and I could barely breathe. It was a strange feeling, the life being sucked out of you. But then it stopped, and I still felt woozy so I lay down on the ground for a while. I could barely open my eyes but all I could hear was movement all around me. Thumping and bumping, yelling and yelping. Once it had stopped that's when I saw him."
"Him?" Lesson questioned. "Who was he?"
I shrug. "I'm not sure, a dark figure, hooded figure. He was strong. Powerful. In many ways my knight in shining armour because he saved my life."
"So, do you think you possibly had an encounter with this young man?"
He slides over a photo to my side of the table. It's a dark picture, I can barely make out his face but his build and physique is there. It sure does resemble him.
"Miss Bloom, I believe, from what you have told me, that you have had an encounter with a vigilante of sorts." He explained. "Around this neighbourhood he has been known for the past 6 years as the Night Runner."
